Wedding Gown Cleaning Process: We meticulously follow the care instructions on your wedding gown, whether it requires dry cleaning or wet cleaning. Both types of machines are available on-site, with specialized programs dedicated solely to wedding gown cleaning.
Upon receiving your gown, we thoroughly inspect it for stains, beads, sequins, fabric type, length, dirt at the bottom, and any rips. I will personally contact you to discuss the condition of the gown in detail. If there are any rips, we will repair them first. Each stain is treated with specific chemicals to ensure maximum removal. If necessary, we will re-clean the gown to eliminate as many stains as possible.
After cleaning, every layer of your gown will be carefully pressed to perfection.
Preservation: Your gown is carefully pressed and packaged to ensure its protection for future generations. Each gown is wrapped in acid-free tissue paper and placed in a museum-quality archival chest by Treasure Chest. Unlike vacuum sealing, this method allows the gown to breathe, preventing discoloration or yellowing over time.
Restoration: Restoring a gown or an old garment involves a specialized process to remove yellowing or brown discoloration that develops over time. This yellowing is caused by oxidation, which occurs when the garment is not stored properly. The restoration process addresses not only this discoloration but also stubborn stains such as food, grease, grass, and lipstick. The garment undergoes a safe chemical treatment to effectively eliminate these stains and restore the gown to its original beauty, removing the yellow and brown patches.
